Starting camp blankets for my nephews

Once my nephews decided to become Cubs one of my first thoughts was did they want a camp blanket. On checking with my sister she had had a similar thought but just hadn't got round to organising it. So with their first camp coming up I increased my favourite auntie status by getting them one each (in their favourite colours) together with some badges to start them off.

This is George's:

And this is Will's

It's up to them now to carry on - although no doubt given my badge addiction I will by buying them more to go on there!

I have a Brownie one in progress for their sister so she doesn't feel left out!

Elephants

So number 30 on my 101 things list was to find all the Elephant Parade elephants in Bromley while they were in tour there. Finding myself with a rare day with nothing planned on Saturday - and needing to go to Toys R Us - I decided to go on a hunt!

This is the third parade I've seen. The first was in London and the second on Copenhagen and I have to admit I preferred the way they were done. I loved having a map and working out where each one was hiding. But I still enjoyed seeing these ones. Ice Creamy I think  is my favourite.

Day Zero Project aka 101 Things to do in 1001 Days

A few years ago I started a Day Zero Project list to do 101 things in 1001 days. Some were very ambitious and some were real easy. However, I didn't manage to complete the list. So I thought I would give it another go, this time keeping it realistic (OK maybe I'll put a few things on the list that are a bit ambitious). I wanted a way to share what I am doing and have achieved so this blog was born. Unlike last time I've not filled the list up before the start date but will add to it as I think of things that I really want to do. I think this is where I went wrong before because some of the things, although fantastic ideas, just weren't practical.
